Also coming this month are a couple shows. On March 9th, my group will play at the Bloomingdale School of Music. In addition I’m leading a trio gig on March 29th at Bar Next Door. More details on the Performances page.

coming up this month is the cd release gig for the new cd “the big eyes.” it’s jan. 10th at cornelia street cafe at 8:30. joining me will be the band on the cd: loren stillman, pete rende, matt pavolka, and ted poor.

in a couple days i’m playing at sycamore as part of the brooklyn jazz underground and connectionworks sunday night series there. thanks this month’s curator michel gentile. joining me will be loren stillman on sax, gary wang on bass and mark ferber on drums.

the new cd “the big eyes” is pressed now and copies should be coming in soon. a big thanks to jordi pujol and freshsound records for putting this out.

cd update: we’re looking at a january release for my upcoming cd. it’s called “the big eyes”.

the nate radley group is playing on nov. 16th at smalls. joining me on this one are loren stillman, matt pavolka and ted poor. the first set starts around 8.

just before that i’m going to portugal to play with the tone of a pitch collective at the guimaraes jazz festival. thats happening on nov. 13th. tone of a pitch is a great label run by andre fernandes that i’ve worked with as a part of akiko pavolka’s band. the collective is a band of folks affiliated with the label performing for the first time. besides me, we are akiko pavolka, jochen rueckert, oscar graca and bernardo moreira.

i am very excited say that my new cd will be coming out with fresh/sound new talent. thanks to jordi pujol for setting this up. no release date set at this point, so there will be more details to announce coming up.

also, later this month i have a trio gig coming up at bar next door. the date is september 23rd and sets are at 7:30, 9:30 and 11:30. joining me will be matt pavolka on bass, and dan weiss on drums. bar next door is at at 129 macdougal st. in the west village and more info can be found at www.lalanternacaffe.com.
